Clinical Research Associate

About the Role

Our client seeks a meticulous and organized Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to support critical clinical trials within the pharmaceutical sector in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is integral to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of clinical research data, adhering strictly to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for monitoring clinical trial sites, verifying data, and ensuring patient safety throughout the trial process. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site initiation, interim, and close-out visits for clinical trial sites in accordance with protocol and GCP.
• Monitor trial progress, ensuring adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, and data integrity standards.
• Verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of clinical data through source data verification.
• Train and support site staff on study-related procedures and documentation requirements.
• Identify, resolve, and escalate site-level issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and present monitoring visit reports and contribute to study team meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Clinical Research Associate or in a similar monitoring role.
• Thorough understanding of GCP , ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to clinical sites as required for monitoring activities in and around Newcastle upon Tyne .
