Clinical Trial Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Manager to oversee and execute clinical studies within the Birmingham area. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient progression of clinical trials from initiation through to completion, adhering strictly to regulatory guidelines and protocol requirements. You will be instrumental in managing all aspects of trial operations, including site selection, patient recruitment, data management, and budget oversight. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive clinical trial protocols and operational plans.
• Manage and coordinate activities of clinical research sites, ensuring adherence to protocol and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Oversee patient recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies to meet trial timelines.
• Monitor trial progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Manage trial budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation effectively.
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection, query resolution, and database lock.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in clinical trial management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Thorough understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
