About the Role
Our client is a forward-thinking technology solutions provider seeking an enthusiastic Cloud Engineering Apprentice to join their remote team. This apprenticeship is an outstanding opportunity to gain practical experience in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. You will work alongside experienced cloud engineers, supporting the deployment, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of cloud-based services and applications.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and availability, identifying and escalating potential issues.
- Learn to implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Support the automation of operational tasks and processes within the cloud environment.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure incidents.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Requirements
- A strong interest in cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Linux/Windows) and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
- Must meet apprenticeship eligibility requirements and have the right to work in the UK.
