Cloud-Native Java Full-Stack Engineer | AWS & Microservices

Location: London (team based) | Remote from Manchester / Edinburgh considered

Overview

We are looking for multiple experienced Java Software Engineers (up to 9 roles) to join a high-performing engineering team within a leading retail banking organisation . You will be working on modern, cloud-native platforms delivering scalable digital banking solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to customer-facing applications , with a strong focus on microservices architecture, continuous delivery, and full-stack development .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build scalable and resilient solutions aligned with modern engineering best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and drive Continuous Deployment practices
• Deliver production-ready, cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, DevOps, and QA
• Ensure code quality through testing, automation, and code reviews

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (core) and Spring Boot
• Proven track record building and maintaining microservices architectures
• Experience working in CI/CD environments with Continuous Deployment
• Strong understanding of cloud-based development (AWS preferred)
• Experience delivering production-grade applications in agile environments
• Exposure to mobile banking platforms or digital banking products
• Experience within financial services / retail banking environments
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tooling
