I’m currently working with one of the UK's leading fintech organizations, to recruit an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join their growing Cloud Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating, supporting and improving cloud environments rather than building cloud platforms from scratch.

Please note: This is not a Platform Engineering or pure DevOps role.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation, stability, security and performance of AWS or azure hosted production environments, working closely with Development, Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure business-critical services remain available and resilient.

This role combines operational support, incident management, infrastructure changes, deployment support and continuous service improvements.

What you’ll be doing

• Infrastructure monitoring
• System maintenance
• Patch management
• Troubleshooting production issues
• Root cause analysis
• Level 2 / Level 3 operational support
• Pre-production releases
• Infrastructure updates
• Client communication regarding infrastructure changes
• Support migrations from on-premise environments
• Maintain SLA-driven production services

• Takes responsibility for services from incident through to resolution
• Wants to work in Cloud Operations rather than Platform Engineering
• Enjoys collaborating across Development, Security and Infrastructure teams
