On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Cloud Security Architect for a 6 month contract based in London with remote working available (Hybrid).
Purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for designing and overseeing security solutions across cloud platforms, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in cloud security, a strategic mindset, and proven experience in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
This role sits within the Enterprise Security Architecture & Enablement team in Deutsche Bank’s Chief Security Office. The team defines the Bank’s current and target-state security architecture, establishing the principles, strategies, roadmaps, standards, and best practices that guide the design and delivery of advanced cyber ‑ security capabilities.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures for GCP and Azure environments.
- Develop, document, and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business units to ensure security requirements are integrated into cloud projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Evaluate security tools and controls for cloud workloads, including IAM, encryption, and monitoring solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats relevant to cloud security.
The skills you’ll need:
- Experience in IT security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security architecture.
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native security technologies and frameworks (e.g., IAM, VPC, KMS, Security Command Center).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud security tooling and technologies
- Experience designing security for regulated environments (e.g., financial services, banking, or similar).
