About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is vital in ensuring that cloud-based infrastructure and services are protected against sophisticated cyber threats. You will be responsible for developing security strategies, defining best practices, and collaborating with engineering teams to embed security into the cloud environment from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Lead the integration of security controls within cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments of cloud deployments and services.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of cloud resources.
- Stay current with cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect or in a similar senior cloud security role.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and security best practices for major cloud providers.
- Expertise in cloud security tools and services, including firewalls, WAFs, CASB, and security monitoring.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and security automation.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
