About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud infrastructure solutions for their operations in Liverpool . This role is instrumental in defining the security strategy for our cloud environments, ensuring compliance, and protecting sensitive data. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed security best practices throughout the cloud lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing management. This is a high-impact position for a leader in cloud security with a deep understanding of modern cloud platforms and security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Implement and manage cloud-native security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups, and encryption.
- Lead security reviews for cloud deployments and provide expert guidance to engineering teams.
- Respond to and manage security incidents within the cloud environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in cloud security architecture and engineering.
- Deep expertise in security best practices for major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in defining and implementing cloud security controls, including IAM, network security, and data protection.
- Experience with security automation, DevSecOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
