About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Cloud Security Architect to lead their cloud security strategy from their base in Plymouth . This role is instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining secure cloud environments across various platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for defining security architectures, implementing robust controls, and ensuring compliance with stringent security standards in the cloud. This is a high-impact position for a seasoned architect passionate about securing cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures and solutions.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
- Implement and manage security controls for cloud services, including identity and access management (IAM).
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments of cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the cloud lifecycle.
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and respond to incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
- Proven experience with cloud security tools, services, and concepts (e.g., CASB, WAF, KMS).
- Strong knowledge of security architecture, network security, and data protection in the cloud.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
