Cloud Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud environments in Wolverhampton . This senior role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a proven ability to architect robust security solutions that protect data and applications in the cloud. You will be instrumental in defining security standards, policies, and best practices for cloud adoption, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks associated with cloud infrastructure. This is a high-impact position for an expert architect passionate about building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
• Architect and deploy cloud-native security services, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups, and encryption.
• Conduct security reviews of cloud deployments and applications, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the cloud development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cloud security architecture and design, with a strong focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, services, and best practices.
• Proven ability to architect secure solutions for compute, storage, networking, and databases in the cloud.
• Experience with container security and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and implementing security automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly preferred.
