About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud solutions in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This strategic role will define the security architecture for our cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring that security is embedded from the design phase onwards. You will be responsible for developing policies, standards, and best practices for cloud security, protecting sensitive data and applications hosted in the cloud, and guiding teams on secure cloud adoption and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Lead the assessment and adoption of new cloud security technologies and services.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure secure cloud deployments and operations.
- Conduct security reviews of cloud architectures and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for identity and access management, data protection, and threat detection in cloud environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of security principles for major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and data encryption.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and security automation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
