Cloud Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud environments. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing security strategies, controls, and architectures across various cloud platforms, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based assets. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed security best practices throughout the cloud lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines for cloud environments.
• Implement and manage cloud security tools, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security controls.
• Conduct security reviews of cloud deployments and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure cloud adoption and integration.
• Stay current with cloud security best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 4 years focused on cloud security.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles and services across major cloud providers.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
