About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Security Architect to join their team in Edinburgh . This hybrid role involves designing, building, and implementing secure cloud solutions across multiple platforms, ensuring the protection of our client's critical data and applications. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the cloud infrastructure and development lifecycle. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of cloud security and maintaining a robust defence against evolving cyber threats, balancing remote work flexibility with essential in-office collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Lead security reviews of cloud deployments, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Implement and manage cloud-native security services and tools, including IAM, encryption, and network security controls.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security throughout the CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices and emerging threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on cloud security architecture.
- Proven experience designing and securing environments on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, services, and tools (e.g., Security Groups, WAF, KMS, Azure Security Center).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and data privacy regulations.
