Cloud Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security controls and solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and maintain security configurations for cloud services, including IAM, network security groups, and encryption.
• Develop and automate security processes for cloud environments, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management for cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Respond to cloud security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into the cloud development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
• Strong hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their security services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and threat landscapes.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
