About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote technology team. This role is essential for ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls, automating security processes, and responding to cloud-based security threats. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Develop and enforce security policies, configurations, and best practices for cloud infrastructure and services.
- Implement and manage cloud-native security tools, including security monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Automate security deployments and operational tasks using infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools.
- Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Respond to security incidents and threats within the cloud infrastructure, performing analysis and implementing containment measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in cloud security engineering, with a strong understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with cloud security services (e.g., IAM, security groups, KMS, WAF, GuardDuty).
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD security practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
