About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote security team. This role is focused on designing, implementing, and managing security controls for cloud-based infrastructure and services. You will be instrumental in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud environments, working with technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Configure and monitor cloud security services, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
- Conduct security reviews of cloud architectures and deployments.
- Respond to security incidents within the cloud environment and implement preventative measures.
- Automate security tasks and deployments using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with cloud-native security tools and services.
- Experience with container security and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
