Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join their technology team in Bristol . This role is essential for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures for their cloud infrastructure across major providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure that cloud environments are secure, compliant, and resilient against threats. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for cloud infrastructure and services.
- Conduct security assessments of cloud architectures and configurations, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions for cloud resources.
- Monitor cloud security logs and alerts, and respond to security incidents within the cloud environment.
- Automate security tasks and processes using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security.
- Hands-on experience securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, data security, and container security.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
