Cloud Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join their distributed team. This role is dedicated to ensuring the security and compliance of cloud-based environments, including major platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls, policies, and procedures specifically tailored for cloud infrastructure. This is an exceptional remote opportunity for a security professional with deep expertise in cloud technologies to protect sensitive data and maintain a robust security posture in a dynamic, cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls and configurations within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Monitor cloud environments for security threats and vulnerabilities, responding to incidents as needed.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) for cloud resources, ensuring principle of least privilege.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay current with cloud security trends and emerging threats, providing expert recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in cloud security, with hands-on work in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, container security, and serverless security concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud security tools and services (e.g., Security Groups, IAM, KMS, Azure Security Center).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automated security deployments is a plus.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
