Cloud Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join their IT strategy team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. This hybrid role requires you to work closely with stakeholders across different departments to understand their needs and translate them into robust cloud architectures. You will play a key role in guiding the adoption of cloud technologies, driving digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring our infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance and reliability, blending remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop technical roadmaps and strategies for cloud adoption and migration projects.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement and manage cloud infrastructure and services.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance requirements are integrated into all cloud designs.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to improve performance, cost, and functionality.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams on cloud-related matters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex cloud solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
• Proven experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and database technologies in a cloud context.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
