About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Solutions Architect to design and oversee the implementation of their cloud infrastructure. This hybrid role involves strategic planning and hands-on execution, requiring collaboration with development, operations, and security teams. You will be instrumental in defining cloud strategies, selecting appropriate technologies, and ensuring that cloud solutions meet business requirements for scalability, performance, and security. Working from our Stoke-on-Trent office or remotely, you'll shape the future of our client's digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Lead the migration of existing on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud.
- Develop and document cloud strategies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for cloud environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud technologies and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance existing solutions.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud computing, with a proven track record in designing and implementing complex cloud solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their core services.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and data management principles in cloud environments.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with collaboration at the Stoke-on-Trent office.
