About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and technically adept Cloud Solutions Architect to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is vital in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and business units to translate requirements into robust cloud architectures, leveraging your deep expertise in cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop technical roadmaps and strategies for cloud adoption and optimization, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement and manage cloud infrastructure, applying infrastructure as code principles.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, security standards, and cost management.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance existing solutions and drive innovation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and application performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused specifically on cloud architecture and design.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and services from major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience with cloud migration strategies and executing large-scale cloud deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and database technologies in a cloud context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences in Portsmouth .
