About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join their technology leadership team in Plymouth . This pivotal role involves designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and business units, to define cloud strategy and ensure successful adoption of cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive cloud architecture solutions on platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• Develop strategies for cloud migration, security, governance, and cost optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during the implementation of cloud services.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance existing solutions.
• Create detailed architectural diagrams, documentation, and best practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or in a similar senior cloud role.
• In-depth knowledge of major cloud providers, especially AWS , and their services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC).
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, networking, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) are highly desirable.
