Cloud Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and innovative Cloud Solutions Architect to join their expanding technology division in Oxford . This role is critical in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions that meet business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guiding them through the complexities of cloud migration, architecture design, and optimization. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cloud platforms and a proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, contributing to a culture of innovation and technological excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP based on business and technical requirements.
• Lead cloud migration strategies and provide guidance on best practices for infrastructure setup and deployment.
• Develop detailed architecture diagrams, documentation, and implementation plans for cloud solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies to optimize performance, cost, and security.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing management of cloud environments.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, software development, or systems engineering, with a strong focus on cloud architecture .
• Proven experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud services including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
