Hales Group are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machining Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our client based in Letchworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, working within a busy and modern workshop environment. This permanent position offers full time hours on a 37.5 hour basis. You will play a key role in supporting workshop operations during your shift, with responsibility for the programming, setting and running of various precision components.

Location: Letchworth Hours: Full time Day Shift (37.5 hour working week) Basis: Permanent Salary: £35-42.9K per annum (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

Program machines (Doosan), both from scratch and from existing data Set and operate CNC machines Produce one-off press tools, working to tight tolerances Run a variety of precision components Confirm quality standards by conducting first-off inspections Ensure all work meets required quality standards and specifications Follow company procedures, including quality and Health & Safety guidelines Support across the workshop in line with continuous improvement initiatives    Requirements

Proven experience in CNC milling (essential) Experience working in a similar capacity within a workshop environment Strong ability to set, operate, and program CNC machinery Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Experience with CAD/CAM software, with knowledge of Delcam or SpaceClaim desirable Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and support a team environment Flexible and reliable approach to work    What's in it for you
