Shift Pattern: 4 Days On, 4 Days Off (7:30am ? 6:00pm)
Salary: £17.00 ? £21.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

The Role

A well-established precision engineering company based in Atherstone is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join its growing machining team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who is confident programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines while producing high-quality precision components to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Producing precision-engineered components from engineering drawings.
• Editing and optimising CNC programmes where required.
• Working with Heidenhain and Siemens control systems.
• Selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters.
• Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Maintaining tight tolerances and high standards of workmanship.
• Ensuring machines and work areas are kept clean and organised.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of either Heidenhain or Siemens controls (experience with both is advantageous).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining a variety of materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
