Salary: £18 – £21 per hour, depending on experience Location: Luton, Bedfordshire Working pattern: Full-time, permanent — 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm)

About the role

Pact Engineering is a long-established, family-owned precision engineering company with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, complex components for the motorsport, food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As our order book continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled CNC Miller to help us deliver the standards our customers expect.

This suits an experienced CNC Miller, or a capable machinist ready to develop further, who wants to join a stable and well-run machine shop.

What you'll be doing

Programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings Using modern inspection equipment to verify part quality Working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining our quality standards

What you'll bring

Experience programming, setting or operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines Competent CNC programming on HEIDENHAIN controls, or a willingness to train Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings Understanding of the standards required to produce a high-quality finish Confidence using modern inspection tools and equipment Able to work with minimal supervision and use your initiative Fork-lift truck experience or certification is an advantage, but not essential
