CNC Programmer / Setter - Wolverhampton
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to join our well-established engineering client based in Wolverhampton on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional looking for a day-shift position with an early Friday finish and 26 days' annual leave.
This role would particularly suit applicants with previous experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Setter or Precision Engineer .
Rates of Pay:
- £34,500 - £38,500 per annum, depending on experience
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
- Day shifts only

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a CNC Programmer / Setter , you will work:
- Programming, setting and operating 2 and 3-axis Doosan CNC machines
- Working with FANUC i-Series controls
- Producing components accurately to engineering drawings and specifications
- Setting tooling, offsets and machine parameters
- Carrying out programme adjustments where required
- Performing quality and dimensional checks on finished components
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity
- Identifying and resolving machining issues
- Working safely and efficiently within a busy engineering environment
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a CNC Programmer / Setter , you will need:
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Turner or CNC Machinist
- Strong experience programming and setting CNC machinery
- Experience with 2 and/or 3-axis CNC machines
- Knowledge of FANUC controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and tolerances
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience working with Doosan CNC machinery
- Experience producing components to tight tolerances
- Additional CNC machining experience would be advantageous
