Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will create, optimize, and validate CNC programs to support production of precision components, using industry-leading CAM/CAD tools.
Key responsibilities
- - Produce and optimize CNC programs for milling operations to meet print specifications and production targets
- - Use PowerMILL to generate and simulate toolpaths, ensuring efficient, collision-free programs
- - Use Autodesk software (e.g., Inventor, Fusion 360 or AutoCAD) to work from CAD models and prepare files for CAM
- - Translate engineering drawings and GD&T into accurate machining strategies
- - Select tooling, cutting parameters, feeds and speeds; revise programs based on material and process feedback
- - Simulate, test and troubleshoot programs on machines; support setup and first-off inspections
- - Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to improve processes and reduce cycle times
- - Maintain program documentation and revision control
Essential skills and experience
- - Minimum 2 years' hands‑on CNC programming experience
- - Proven experience using PowerMILL for CAM programming and simulation
- - Experience with Autodesk products for CAD/CAM workflows
- - Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters
- - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T
- - Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and commitment to quality
- - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- - Experience with multi‑axis (3-5 axis) machining
- - Familiarity with post‑processing and G-code optimization
- - Practical machine shop experience (setup/operators) is a plus
