CNC Field Service Engineer - UK Wide

Job Objectives:
- To carry out installations, service and breakdown requests.
- To demonstrate first class customer care.
- Positively represent the company brand at all times.
Specific Responsibilities:
- To communicate positively and efficiently with the Service Desk at all times.
- To complete and return all relevant documentation and liaise with the Service Desk on a daily basis.
- Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Adhere to guidelines as detailed in BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 and BS EN ISO 14001: 2015.
- Health and Safety compliance at all times.
- Adhere to the Company Expenses Procedure.
General Responsibilities:
- To install, service and repair CNC machines and equipment.
- To visit customer sites to diagnose, install, service and repair machines.
- Leave jobs in full working order and complete the service check, alignment/geometry sheets and upload to the customer file on Sharepoint.
- Liaise with customers.
- To notify the Service Desk when job is complete.
- At customer sites, familiarise yourself with customer rules and working practices, including their health and safety policies.
- Always follow as a minimum requirement, the generic RAMS using all recommended PPE.
- To feedback to the Service Desk problems/issues on site.
- To notify the Service Desk when parts need collecting.
- When the job/customer dictates, there could be a requirement to lodge away from home.
- Ensure all measures are carried out to reduce the risk of accidents.
- Any other duties that may be required of you.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Ability to fault find, diagnose and correct errors as identified on CNC machine tools.
- PLC knowledge.
- Ability to assemble, set up and dismantle hydraulic, pneumatic and large associated mechanical assemblies.
- A team player with the ability to work on own initiative and problem solve.
- Knowledge of part identification and understanding of engineering drawings.
- Mechanical and electrical qualifications/experience. Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- PC literate.
- Previous experience of a service team environment.
- Always ensure your skills set, knowledge and experience are adequate to complete the tasks required of you.
