CNC Team Leader Northampton £52,500 Double Day Shift
Are you an experienced CNC Machinist who has moved into leadership, or an established Team Leader looking for your next step?
We’re working with a high-performance engine manufacturer in Northampton looking for a CNC Team Leader to lead a skilled team within its machining operation.
Working in a fast-paced environment manufacturing high-performance engine components, you’ll take responsibility for your area across people, production, quality and delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the day-to-day running of a CNC production team, allocating workload and resources to achieve production targets.
- Monitoring production schedules, WIP and workflow, tackling bottlenecks and keeping work moving through the machine shop.
- Coaching and developing your team, managing performance, training, attendance and day-to-day people matters.
- Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality to resolve manufacturing issues, support NPI and drive continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a CNC machining or manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of CNC machining, ideally across milling, turning and/or grinding.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, developing and managing performance.
- Good knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality and Health & Safety within an engineering environment.
