Entech Technical Solutions are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Programmer to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-specification components to demanding industries.

The Role
As a CNC Turner Setter/Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision-engineered components to extremely tight tolerances. Working from engineering drawings, you'll ensure every component meets the highest quality standards while continuously seeking improvements in machining efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
- Machine complex parts to micron-level tolerances using a range of exotic and high-performance alloys including Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy and Duplex materials.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds and machining strategies for efficient production.
- Carry out in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment to ensure product quality.
- Diagnose machining issues, make programme adjustments and optimise machining performance.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment while following all health and safety procedures.
About You
We're looking for an experienced CNC Turner who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys solving technical machining challenges.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
- Experience machining exotic materials or difficult-to-machine alloys.
- Ability to manufacture complex precision components to tight tolerances.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Excellent knowledge of tooling, cutting parameters and machining techniques.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment and quality processes.
- An engineering apprenticeship or experience within aerospace, defence, oil & gas or other high-precision manufacturing sectors would be advantageous.
