About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Commercial Accountant to join their finance team in Bristol . This role is focused on providing financial support and analysis to key business units, helping to drive profitability and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to interpret financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. The successful candidate will have strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis and support to various business departments, including sales and operations.
- Assist in the development of business cases, pricing strategies, and investment appraisals.
- Monitor and analyse business performance against budget and forecasts, providing variance explanations.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Prepare management reports highlighting key financial metrics and commercial insights.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement across the business.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) with proven commercial experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial finance principles and business partnering.
- Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen business sense.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting systems.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
