Commercial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a commercially astute Commercial Accountant to join their thriving team in Milton Keynes . This dynamic role focuses on providing financial insights and analysis to support business growth and profitability across various departments. You will work closely with commercial teams, helping them understand financial performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses strong analytical skills, and enjoys bridging the gap between finance and business operations, contributing to strategic commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business unit leaders to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations on performance drivers.
• Develop financial models to support pricing strategies, investment appraisal, and business case development.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports and commentary on commercial performance.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, challenging assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic projects and decision-making.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in a commercial finance, business partnering, or management accounting role.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of business drivers and commercial strategy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
