About the Role
Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Commercial Analyst to join their team in Nottingham . You will play a key role in evaluating the commercial viability of upstream oil and gas projects, conducting market research, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position involves a hybrid working model, offering flexibility between office-based collaboration and remote work. You will work closely with business development, technical, and financial teams to assess opportunities and contribute to the company's growth strategy in the competitive Oil & Gas industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop financial models to evaluate project economics, including NPV, IRR, and payback periods.
- Conduct market analysis for oil, gas, and related commodities.
- Assess commercial risks and opportunities associated with upstream projects.
- Prepare commercial evaluation reports and presentations for management.
- Support business development activities, including due diligence and negotiations.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial analysis, financial modeling, or business development, preferably in Oil & Gas .
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Strong understanding of the upstream Oil & Gas value chain and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
