Commercial Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Commercial Analyst to join their team, working remotely with flexibility to visit their Norwich office as needed. This role is critical for supporting business strategy through in-depth financial and market analysis. You will gather and interpret complex data to identify commercial opportunities, assess market trends, and provide insights to drive decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with sales, marketing, and finance departments to enhance profitability and market positioning, contributing to the company's overall commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
• Developing financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Preparing regular reports and presentations on commercial performance, market insights, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Supporting the negotiation and evaluation of commercial contracts and partnerships.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and cost optimization initiatives.
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial analysis, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or market analysis role.
• Proficiency in financial modeling , data analysis, and statistical techniques.
• Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
