Commercial Channel Manager
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Commercial Channel Manager to lead the development and growth of Non-NHS business across the UK.
The role will focus on identifying new markets, customers and channel partners, growing revenue across a medical gas equipment and oxygen therapy portfolio, and building a sustainable Non-NHS sales pipeline.
Alongside this, the Commercial Channel Manager will provide mentorship and commercial leadership to the NHS team, sharing best practice, coaching colleagues and supporting a high-performance culture.
National Role
Salary £60-65K + Bonus + Benefits + Car
Key Responsibilities
Non-NHS Growth
- Develop and execute the Non-NHS commercial strategy.
- Identify and win new business across private hospitals, independent healthcare providers, private ambulance services, home oxygen and respiratory-care providers, care homes and specialist healthcare organisations.
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers, procurement teams and clinical stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract award.
- Identify opportunities to expand GCE Medical's presence across new markets and applications.
Channel Development
- Identify, develop and manage distributors, healthcare suppliers and strategic channel partners.
- Create effective routes to market that accelerate Non-NHS growth.
- Develop partner propositions, commercial plans and performance measures.
Product Portfolio Develop opportunities across our clients portfolio, including:
- Medical gas infrastructure .
- Regulators and gas-control equipment.
- Hospital ward equipment – flowmeters, suction, vacuum regulators and accessories.
- Emergency and ambulance oxygen solutions.
NHS Mentorship & Leadership
- Coach and mentor members of the NHS commercial team.
- Share best practice in business development, account management and negotiation.
- Support colleagues with strategic opportunities and customer relationships.
- Encourage collaboration, accountability and continuous development.
- Provide additional senior commercial support to the NHS team when required.
Key Measures of Success
- Non-NHS revenue and margin growth.
- New customer acquisition.
- Development of the Non-NHS sales pipeline.
- New distributor and channel partnerships.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, channel management or commercial leadership within the medical sector
- Demonstrable success in winning new business and developing markets.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial understanding of revenue, pricing and margin.
- Experience managing sales pipelines and complex sales cycles.
- Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues.
- Healthcare, medical device, life sciences or technical industry experience is essential.
- Knowledge of the NHS and/or private healthcare market
