About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Commercial Cleaner to join their facilities management team in Birmingham . This role is fundamental to maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff and clients within a busy office complex. You will be responsible for the comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness are consistently met and exceeded. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine cleaning of office spaces, including dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize washrooms, replenishing consumables and ensuring they are always presentable.
• Manage waste disposal, including emptying bins and ensuring recycling protocols are followed correctly.
• Utilise a range of cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, adhering to COSHH regulations.
• Polish and maintain fixtures, fittings, and furniture to a high standard.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed to the facilities manager promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a commercial cleaning role is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines within a cleaning context.
• Physically fit to undertake manual cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
• A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional cleaning standards.
