About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and professional Commercial Cleaning Technician to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves performing a variety of cleaning duties in commercial settings, ensuring that all areas are kept tidy, hygienic, and presentable. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, utilising various cleaning equipment and products effectively. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail, contributing to a welcoming and safe environment for clients and staff in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise washrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to established protocols.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor polishers and carpet cleaners.
• Replenish cleaning supplies in washrooms and kitchens as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests and emergencies as they arise.

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
