About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and expanding technology company located in Reading , is seeking a skilled Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their legal team. This role is vital for supporting the company's growth by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements critical to business operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments, ensuring legal risks are managed effectively and commercial objectives are met. Based in our client's modern offices in Reading , this position offers a great blend of autonomy and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, supply agreements, and partnership contracts.
• Advise business teams on contractual terms, risks, and legal compliance.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, ensuring efficient processes and record-keeping.
• Provide legal support for procurement and sales activities.
• Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Assist in the development and implementation of standard contract templates and legal policies.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 4 years of experience in commercial contract law.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Understanding of technology law and intellectual property issues is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
