CRA Consulting are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded regional law firm to recruit a Commercial Contracts Lawyer with 3-5 years' PQE to join its thriving Commercial team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to take on greater responsibility, develop strong client relationships and play an important role within a successful and growing regional practice. The successful candidate will advise a diverse client base, ranging from ambitious SMEs through to household-name national and international brands, on a broad spectrum of commercial matters.
The Role
You will join an established and growing Commercial team, advising clients across a wide range of commercial contracts and business matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
- Supply, purchase and distribution contracts
- Outsourcing arrangements
- Media and marketing contracts
- Technology and IT agreements
- SaaS agreements and software licensing
- Systems integration matters
- General commercial advisory work
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice on day-to-day business issues and strategic projects
You will have the opportunity to lead client matters with increasing autonomy, develop your own client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the Commercial team. There will also be opportunities to support and mentor junior members of the team, while continuing to develop your own technical and commercial expertise.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a Commercial Lawyer with 3-5 years' PQE and demonstrable experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts. Experience of IT-related matters, including SaaS agreements, software licensing and systems integration, would be highly desirable. You will be commercially minded and able to provide clear, practical and solution-focused advice to clients. The ability to build strong professional relationships and understand clients' wider commercial objectives is essential. We are looking for someone with a proactive, can-do attitude who is keen to take on greater responsibility and has a genuine appetite for developing client relationships and contributing to business development.
