About the Role

Our client is looking for an ambitious and strategic Commercial Director to lead their commercial strategy and business growth initiatives in Oxford . This senior leadership role is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing commercial partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You will oversee sales, marketing, and business development functions, working closely with executive leadership to shape the company's future direction. This is a critical role for an individual with a proven ability to drive commercial success and build strong market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue and market share in Oxford and beyond.
• Lead and manage the sales, marketing, and business development teams to achieve ambitious targets.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances to expand business opportunities.
• Oversee contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms for the company.
• Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform commercial strategies.
• Develop and manage the commercial budget, ensuring profitability and return on investment.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior commercial leadership role, such as Commercial Director or VP of Sales/Marketing.
• Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and successfully launching new products or services.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and people management abilities.
• Deep understanding of market dynamics and customer relationship management.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business or a related field is desirable.
