Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC)
Locations: Luton / Stevenage / Bishops Stortford
Salary: A GBP 48,656.73 total salary, including 5 SLA and standby payment
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
The role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple retail sites.
- Service and repair commercial boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs and FCUs.
- Complete minor alterations and installations within your area of competence.
- Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
- Identify non-repairable equipment and recommend suitable replacement options.
- Complete service reports and update work through a PDA system.
- Order parts and spares in line with company procedures.
- Work as part of a 24/7 on:call rota, approximately 1 week in 4.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and customer service.
About You
- NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in Heating, Ventilation, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Experience working across commercial or retail environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
