Job Description
Commercial Gas Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing mechanical and electrical building services company covering Kent/South-East.
This is a permanent position carrying out planned and reactive gas and heating works, with a particular focus on commercial boiler servicing, maintenance and breakdowns. The successful Commercial Gas Engineer will be provided with a company van, fuel card, uniform and analyser, alongside opportunities to progress as the business continues to grow.
The Role
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out PPM on commercial heating systems Servicing and repairing commercial boilers Diagnosing and repairing boiler breakdowns Completing commercial gas installation and repair work Carrying out reactive maintenance Completing CP17 commercial gas certificates Diagnosing faults across gas and heating systems Recording completed works using a job management system Maintaining a high standard of workmanship Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota of approximately 1 in 6 The Commercial Gas Engineer will be expected to work independently, diagnose faults effectively and ensure servicing and repair work is completed safely and professionally.
We are looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer with:
Current commercial gas ACS qualifications At least 5 years' relevant industry experience Strong commercial boiler servicing experience Proven boiler breakdown and fault-finding ability Commercial gas installation and repair experience Good knowledge of plumbing and heating systems Experience completing CP17 certificates Willingness to participate in the 1-in-6 call-out rota Own tools Full UK driving licence Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and manage your workload Domestic gas/heating knowledge would be advantageous but isn't essential The position would particularly suit a Commercial Gas Engineer who is confident with both planned servicing and reactive breakdowns and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing business.
