Our client, a top‑tier global disputes practice, is seeking a proactive and ambitious lawyer to join their well‑regarded Leeds team. This role offers genuine flexibility on level— the firm is open to candidates ranging from newly qualified up to 6 years' PQE, with the position and responsibilities tailored accordingly.
The Opportunity
This is an ideal role for a lawyer who enjoys variety and wants to build a broad commercial litigation and arbitration practice. You'll work across complex, high‑value matters, develop your professional profile, and take on increasing responsibility within a supportive team environment.
What You'll Do
- Advise on a wide range of commercial disputes, including contractual, corporate and financial services disputes and civil fraud, across a broad range of industry sectors
- Support or manage disputes (depending on level) across all stages from pre‑action through to resolution
- Draft court documents, including pleadings and evidence
- Work collaboratively across the firm's global offices on cross‑border mandates
- Take ownership of workstreams appropriate to your level, with support from senior colleagues
- Build client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
What They're Looking For
- England & Wales qualified lawyer, NQ up to 6 years' PQE
- Experience of commercial disputes gained through litigation and/or international arbitration matters
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Client‑focused, with a commitment to first‑class service and developing client‑facing skills
- Strong technical ability and commercial awareness
- A strong work ethic and proactive approach to workload management
- A personable, collegiate mindset and good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external organisations
- Willingness to engage in business development opportunities, including client secondments (for more senior candidates)
- A genuine interest in working flexibly across commercial litigation and arbitration
