About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting for a skilled Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their dynamic team in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK . This role focuses on managing a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, including contractual disagreements, shareholder conflicts, and professional negligence claims, from initial assessment through to resolution, whether by settlement or court judgment. You will be integral in developing case strategies, preparing pleadings, managing discovery processes, and representing clients in negotiations and mediations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional legal services and outcomes for our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters independently.
• Advise clients on dispute resolution strategies, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Draft and file court documents, including claims, defenses, and applications.
• Conduct witness examinations and cross-examinations during trials or hearings.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Stay abreast of relevant case law and procedural developments in commercial litigation.

Requirements

• Solicitor qualification with at least 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling contentious business disputes.
• Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and evidence.
• Excellent advocacy and client management skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and achieve successful results.
