Commercial Litigation Solicitor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Litigation Solicitor to bolster their highly regarded dispute resolution team based in Birmingham . This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied caseload of high-value commercial disputes, representing a broad spectrum of clients from individuals to major corporations. You will be instrumental in developing robust litigation strategies, managing cases from inception through to trial, and contributing to the team's continued success in delivering exceptional legal outcomes, all while working within a supportive and professionally stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of commercial disputes , including contractual claims, negligence, and shareholder disagreements.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies, including pre-action protocols, negotiation, and ADR.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, and other essential court documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct advocacy at interim applications and case management conferences.
• Advise clients on prospects of success, costs, and risk management throughout the litigation process.
• Liaise effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements

• A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' experience in commercial litigation .
• Demonstrated success in managing complex disputes through to resolution.
• Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and client advisory skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
