Our client, a leading player in the construction sector, is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager for projects based in and around Cambridge . This senior role is responsible for overseeing the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring profitability and effective contract management. You will lead a team, manage client relationships, and drive commercial success from tender stage through to project completion. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee contract administration, variations, and claims to protect the company's interests.
• Develop and negotiate tender submissions and framework agreements.
• Conduct regular financial reviews and provide commercial advice to project teams and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and company policies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Strong understanding of contract law , procurement, and risk management.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and financial management skills.
• Proficiency in commercial management software and financial modelling.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse stakeholder interests.
