Commercial Manager – Projects & Business Transformation

Are you someone who gets things done?

Our client is looking for an experienced, commercially minded and highly organised Commercial Manager – Projects & Business Transformation to join its EMEA organisation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making things happen. There are no direct reports and no dedicated project team to delegate to. You will personally drive projects forward, improve business processes, coordinate commercial activity and bring people together to deliver agreed outcomes.

The Role

Working across EMEA, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects, business transformation initiatives, process improvements and commercial activities.

You will turn business priorities into practical action by creating plans, coordinating stakeholders, identifying problems, chasing actions, resolving issues and ensuring work gets completed.

• Project Management & Business Transformation

You will manage cross-functional projects from initial concept through to delivery, including:

• Developing project plans, milestones, actions and timescales.

• Coordinating projects involving multiple departments.

• Maintaining project plans, action logs, risks, issues and decision records.

• Organising meetings and ensuring actions are clearly documented and followed up.

• Identifying delays, dependencies and barriers to progress.

• Working directly with stakeholders to resolve problems.

• Providing clear updates to senior management.

• Coordinating projects designed to improve profitability, sustainability and future revenue opportunities.

• Managing projects involving technology, infrastructure, software and recurring revenue models.

You will need the confidence to push projects forward, including when the people responsible for actions are more senior than you.

• Business Process Improvement

A significant part of the role will involve reviewing how the business operates and identifying opportunities to make processes simpler, faster and more efficient.

You will speak with employees across different functions, map existing processes, identify duplication and bottlenecks, challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for automation and AI.

You will then develop practical recommendations, coordinate implementation and work with IT and business teams to improve workflows and systems.

• Commercial Operations, Contracts & Onboarding

You will coordinate important customer and supplier commercial activities, including onboarding, due diligence, procurement and tender activity, contract reviews and negotiations.

You will work closely with Legal, Finance, Sales, Operations, IT and other departments, tracking approvals, outstanding actions and ensuring contracts progress through the appropriate internal processes.

You do not need to be a lawyer or procurement specialist, but you should be confident coordinating commercial activity and bringing the right people together to get things completed.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for significant experience in:

• Commercial or contract negotiation

More importantly, you will take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do. You will be hands-on, delivery focused and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.

You should be interested in technology, automation and AI, have strong organisational and analytical skills, and be confident influencing senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable challenging delays, identifying problems and turning them into practical solutions.

Package

£90,000 basic salary + 21% bonus, paid every six months + car allowance + excellent benefits + hybrid working (3 days per week in the Uxbridge area) + EMEA scope and senior management exposure + opportunity to progress to a senior management role.
