Commercial Property Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and profitability of each asset. You will be the primary point of contact for tenants, contractors, and clients, managing all aspects of property operations. This is a hands-on position perfect for an individual who excels in organization, problem-solving, and client relations within the vibrant commercial landscape of Tyne and Wear .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of commercial properties, including maintenance, repairs, and tenant services.
• Oversee lease administration, rent collection, and service charge management, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure high standards of upkeep and safety compliance.
• Develop and manage budgets for property maintenance and operational expenses in Newcastle upon Tyne .
• Source and manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of work.
• Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and resolve issues to maintain positive tenant relations.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in property management , preferably within the commercial sector.
• Strong understanding of property law, landlord and tenant legislation, and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in property management software and MS Office.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.
