About the Role
Our client, a highly respected law firm, is seeking an accomplished Commercial Property Solicitor to join their thriving practice in Leeds . This role offers the opportunity to handle a broad spectrum of complex commercial property transactions for a diverse client base, including developers, investors, and institutional lenders. You will be responsible for advising on acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant matters, and development projects, working within a collaborative and supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional legal acumen, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service, contributing to the firm's leading reputation in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region's property law sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of high-value commercial property transactions from inception to completion.
- Advise clients on all aspects of commercial property law, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and secured lending.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial property contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
- Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions and disposals, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- Liaise effectively with clients, opposing solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progression.
- Stay abreast of changes in property law and best practices to provide up-to-date advice.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
- A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial property law .
- Proven expertise in handling complex transactions such as development agreements, joint ventures, and large-scale leasing.
- Strong understanding of property finance and related security documentation.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a demanding workload efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
